Saturday 25th April the MUDI – Diocesan Museum of Alba proposes the guided tours of the Romanic bell tower of the cathedral of Alba in occasion of the 48th edition of VINUM – International fair of the wines of Piedmont region. The guides of the Diocesan Museum will guide you up to 45 meters of height, by walking the ancient stairs located between the two bell towers which have been built in 10th and 12th centuries. After having admired the city of Alba from the highest tower of the city, you will descend and you will continue with the visit of the archeologic path located in the underground part of the S. Lawrence cathedral. This visit will let you discover important evidences of the Roman and Middle Age periods. Among the evidences there are the pavement of the decumanus of Alba Pompeia and the baptesimal font of the 6th century.
The afternoon will end, for all the partecipants, with a taste of herbal teas and tipical products of Piedmont in the flowered garden of the cathedral rectory.

Participation conditions: during the guided visits two groups with limited spots will be created. Reservation is required. On the home page of the museum website you may find the ARTSUPP online ticket shop where you may reserve the tickets.
