This guided tour of the UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy touches on the most important buildings in the Roman-origin historic center, from the Cathedral of San Lorenzo to the Romanesque-Gothic church of San Domenico, and the complex of the baroque church of La Maddalena.
The route continues along Via Cavour, with the Loggia dei Mercanti, passing through Piazza Pertinace and its Roman excavations, and ending at the church of San Giovanni.
Among porphyry, roof tiles and bricks, in this city awarded the Gold Medal for Military Valor, you will hear stories and accounts connected to the Resistance, drawn from the most beautiful pages written by Beppe Fenoglio, as well as curiosities and anecdotes about the origins of the International Alba White Truffle Fair and the Palio degli Asini.
