The Royal Castle of Govone presents the events calendar for May 2026, a varied program that brings together contemporary art, music, guided tours, and family activities, reaffirming the Castle’s role as an active cultural hub in the Langhe and Roero area.
Throughout the month, the Castle will be open to the public every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (10:00–12:30 / 3:00–6:00 pm), offering visitors the opportunity to explore its historic interiors and the Royal Chapel.
The exhibition Kind Dragons in Enchanted Worlds by artist Isabella Mandelli, part of the Govone Arte program, continues until June 2.
Related events include CREATIVAMENTE ROERO, featuring the conference “Tempo libero” on May 16, and the inauguration of a new artwork by Giuseppe Gavazza on May 24.
Music plays a central role with the Govone Smart Music series, which includes four Sunday concerts (May 10, 17, 24, and 31) held in the Castle’s Salone delle Feste.
Outdoor activities include guided tours of King Charles Felix’s Rose Garden, scheduled every Sunday, and a special guided visit to the area’s natural trails on May 24.
On May 31, “Il Codice della Rosa” will take place, a special treasure hunt designed for families and children.
The calendar also features initiatives for younger audiences, such as “Nati per Leggere” on May 30, and a historical reenactment organized by the Association Le Vie del Tempo, scheduled for Sunday, May 17.
Overall, the program confirms the Royal Castle of Govone’s vocation as a meeting place for historical heritage, contemporary cultural production, and the local community.
