Vinum is an event where wine connoisseurs, gourmets and those who wish to get fascinated by the art and culture of lower Piedmont, will meet. They will be cradled by the beauty of vineyards and hills which, in 2014, where awarded by Unesco as World Heritage Site.
In the heart of Alba, a tasting itinerary winds through the streets of the historic center, offering a sensory journey through the great wines of Piedmont. An experience to be savored sip by sip, discovering the winemaking excellence of this land.
At Piazza Medford, wine lovers will have the opportunity to taste Dolcetto in all its nuances.
Dolcetto is one of Piedmont’s most representative native grape varieties and is cultivated, to varying extents, throughout the region.
The name of the grape variety comes from the sweetness of the grape pulp but the wines made from it are completely dry, characterized by a light acidity and a pleasant bitter aftertaste.
The wine tastings will be handled and conducted by the Italian Association of Sommeliers.
