Visit to the cellar Azienda Agricola Massucco.

At the end of the tour Chef Marc Lanteri will prepare an aperitif on site, to be served in combination with the most representative wines from the hosting cellar.

The visit includes:
– Roundtrip transport by minibus. Departure at 4.00 p.m. from Piazza Medford (Palazzo Mostre e Congressi “G. Morra”), return to Alba approximately at 7.00 p.m..
– Wine tasting and aperitif with the chef
– Wine cellar tour

THE CELLAR
AZIENDA AGRICOLA MASSUCCO

Since the beginning of the 20th century, the Massucco family has cultivated the vineyards that surround its winery. The grapes from these vineyards give life to some of the most important Piemontese wines. Since its origins the company’s activity is based on the quality of the wine. The grapes are grown by the Massucco family on their 50 acres and without the use of GMO products with the www.thegreenexperience.it certification for a rethought and sustainable “green” agriculture.
The wines produced in the historical cellars are among the most authentic examples of the culture of the Roero regions and have been chosen as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Over the years, Massucco has been able to introduce to the market its own unique wine tradition, paying attention to the tastes of the consumers, but always respecting the characteristics that the donominations DOC and DOCG require.

The company produces and markets red and white wines under the Massucco  brand. Other brands offered by the winery also include various high-quality sparkling wines and a special line of vintage red wines that derive from selected grapes through a process that involves choosing the best bunches in the vineyards followed by meticulous work in the cellars.In their continuous pursuit of excellence, the Mussucco family has experimented with new processing methods and technological solutions, while integrating traditional wine making expertise. The results are wines that are distinguished by harmonious aromas and flavors, which reflect the best Piemontese wine tradition. Massucco wines have be selected among the Italian wines with best quality to price ratio.
The Massucco company is an example of how a contemporary product can be made that boasts centuries of history, enhancing it and bringing it to the attention of an ever expanding public.

THE CHEF
MARC LANTERI

Chef Marc Lanteri was born in Tenda, a small village just beyond the border of Piedmont, on the French side of the Roya Valley, where the rooted Italian origins are still present. His culinary passion was born during his childhood, thanks to his mother, a precious custodian of the secrets of traditional Piedmontese cuisine, and his father, a wise lover of the genuineness of the products of a rich and generous territory of firstfruits. After school, Marc began an intense training course alongside some of the greatest interpreters of contemporary cuisine such as Alain Ducasse, Christian Morisset, Michel Rostang, Enzo Santin, Annie Feolde, and Paolo Teverini, who will trace deep guidelines in him and in his style.
From each of them Marc will learn the art of great cuisine and will have the opportunity to live in the field of unique experiences. Even today Chef Lanteri pursues his goals with his character of tireless researcher of taste, typicality and excellence. In 2004 with the brigade of the restaurant Delle Antiche Contrade in the city of Cuneo, he was awarded the prestigious Michelin star and became part of the Red Guide. In 2008 he and Amy Bellotti opened Il Baluardo in Mondovì Piazza and in 2015 Marc Lanteri began his experience at the Castle of Grinzane Cavour, the historic home of Count Camillo Benso di Cavour.
Now a new challenge with the restaurant “Marc Lanteri” increasingly faithful to the territory of the Langhe and Roero that has so strongly influenced his cuisine.

“THE GREEN EXPERIENCE” SUSTAINABLE VITICULTURE

The Coldiretti Cuneo project “The Green Experience”, aims to spread a quality oriented viticulture increasingly sustainable and global. A project conceived by the producers for the consumer and for a healthy and welcoming environment in the area recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014.
The Green Experience is also a brand that certifies grapes and wines of Piedmont, obtained with sustainability criteria aimed at the conservation of natural resources the balance of the ecosystem, biodiversity, health and care of the landscape, all included in a specification certified by a third party.
The Green Experience is fulfilling the dream of enjoying toeether with the final consumer a kind od viticulture which is increasingly “good to drink and to look at”.
