Ente Fiera Nazionale del Tartufo Bianco d’Alba

On 18 July 2003, the Municipality of Alba, the Associazione Commercianti Albesi and the Giostra delle Cento Torri were gathered to set up the Ente Fiera Nazionale del Tartufo Bianco d’Alba (Alba White Truffle National Fair), a non-profit association.

The purpose of the Fair is to carry out activities in the sector of organization of the National Fair of the Alba White Truffle and promotional events tied to the City of Alba.

In 2007 the Fair was acknowledged the “International” status and attracted many tourists from all over the world: the food and wine culture has always been a key factor in attracting visitors.
In 2016 the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies included the International Alba White Truffle Fair among the 12 main national events, along with Vinitaly, Cibus and the Salone del Gusto.
Since 2010 the Fair has been organizing and promoting the wines of the territory through Vinum, the National Fair of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato wines, by tasting over 550 labels.
In 2017 the Accademia Bocuse d’Or Italia was founded, an initiative managed and coordinated by the Trade Fair Company; on 1st October 2017 the Italian Selection of Bocuse d’Or was held in Alba, which declared as winner the Chef Martino Ruggieri, Deputy Head Chef at the three star Pavillon Lodoyen in Paris. Ruggieri will lead Team Italia to the European selection in Turin in June 2018.
The objectives of the Fair are not limited to enhance a product, but also its enogastronomic identity and to promote not only a city, but its entire territory which is a Unesco World Heritage Site.
